Since our tutor Daniel has announced that he would want to publish the class on line, I think I can have a note for myself on-line.
My courses as a master's student has started in Central Saint Martins!

Considering about for a bit, I decided that the article has to be written in English, with which I can easily share my humble and frivolous regurgitation:P
The course of the 1st week has finished, here is how it goes.

Normally, we have 3 days of classes, and which was the case of the 1st week.

Monday, Oct. 6th, 2014
Room KB 301, CSM, KX

Before we had briefing about the topice we would be talking about, we introduced impromptly about outselves with a photograph in our phones.
It was basically a philosophy course, if I jump to the conclusion of the class of the first week.
Daniel and David are our tutors from Russia and the UK. Lead by Daniel whilst David as the senior lecturer, we faced some of the basic readings by Sartre and Heidegger.

"Nothing"

As quoted in his "What is Metaphisics?":
'But what is remarkable is that, precisely in the was scientific man secures to himself what is mot properly his, he speaks of something different. What should be examined...'
So what science wants to know is facts, and nothing else. Therefore, to scientists, arts is nothing!
(Well, I do know that there are many scientists are good at musical instruments, and are really fans of artists, or are even collectors.)
So, the 1st project for us is about nothing. Many examples of nothing were selected by Daniel to inspire us head. From the moment, I knew something started to stir my head.

Then it was 7th of October, when we started with the works of 2nd years.
Most of them are all good and they are not necessisarily presented in the form of photographs.
This time, what made my realization in head was the fact that, the form of the arts is not really important, rather, the thoughts is what matters, and the contexts aw well.

On Wednesday, 8th, it was the first seminar.
We started with the definitions. What is a master? What is the difference between BA and MA? Further, what is a paradigm change? And, how has photography changed the world and how the world is changed by photography?
But I don't really think that the colleague we will become(he said that we would become his colleagues after we become masters) is going to be qualified to be judge as many works as Daniel can.

After exploring them, the readings that once freaked us out turned out to be something less scary. We went throught some paragraphs in Flusser's Towards a Philosophy of Photography. Yes, the first glance of the 300 pages of it and Non-representational Theory was really frightening, but uhm, so be it! Rudovica was impressively able to explain her summeraizing of Flusser's work, and so as Lechena and Maria. Omg, I really need to keep up with everyone's head! It is going to be painful, but this will be fantastic!! I am going to explore much more in my brain.
We will present on the Wednesday about an object that matters to ourselves, let's see what will happen later.

:)

It is a bit surprising to me that we are not really taking our cameras around that much, but it surprised me in such a good way that I will be inspired a lot with excitement. I am about to remember all the names, but please forgive me for some loss of my memorize.

p.s. It is such an honor and luck for me to be chosen among the classmates, because I am just one of the nobodies from the applicants from all ages and occupations and experiences!! Keep on with everything!
